We tested the Fred bed in size S with our 15-year-old Parson Russell terrier before it was launched on the market because we were looking for something that was easy on her joints and incontinence-friendly. She accepted it straight away and likes to lie in it. It is not heavy, so we take it everywhere with us. The cover is easy to clean, but we just hope that replacement covers will soon be available so that it can be washed more quickly. Otherwise, it looks and is of very good quality.

The bed is vacuum packed and shipped in a box already covered with the bouclé fabric. After you have CAREFULLY removed it from the foil, it unfolds and can be used immediately. However, we recommend that you let the viscose foam "breathe"/unfold for 1 to 2 hours.

The bed consists of 3 materials.
1) The high-quality bouclé fabric cover is washable on a gentle cycle.
2) The individual mattress segments are packed in moisture-proof foil to protect the valuable mattress from damage. These can also be cleaned separately using a zip fastener.
1) The mattress is made of high-density viscose & memory foam and is not suitable for the washing machine.
